1. EU Consumer Rights (For EU Customers Only)
1.1 Right of Withdrawal
If you are an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days from the day you (or someone you designate) receive the product, without giving a reason. This applies to purchases of Sniffer430, Lixener30, or other products made via https://jacobs-mc.co.
How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal:
Notify Us: Contact us within 14 days of receipt at sales@jacobs-mc.com or +370 69827743. with your name, order number, and intent to return the product.
Return the Product: Return the product in its original condition, unused, and in its original packaging within 14 days of your notification. You bear the cost of return shipping unless the product is defective or not as described.
Refund: We will refund the purchase price (excluding original shipping costs) within 14 days of receiving the returned product, using the same payment method (e.g., Klarna, credit card) unless otherwise agreed. If the product is used or damaged, we may reduce the refund to reflect diminished value.
Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-made products or products that cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, as indicated at the time of purchase.
1.2 Legal Guarantee
EU consumers are entitled to a 2-year legal guarantee from the date of delivery. If the Sniffer430, Lixener30, or another product is defective or does not conform to the contract (e.g., not as described), we will repair, replace, or refund the product at no cost to you, as required by EU law. See Section 3 for details on warranty claims.
2. Manufacturer Warranty (All Customers)
We provide a 1-year manufacturer warranty for Sniffer430 and Lixener30, covering defects in materials or workmanship from the date of delivery. This warranty is in addition to the 2-year legal guarantee for EU customers (Section 1.2).
What’s Covered:
Defects in manufacturing (e.g., faulty components).
Repairs or replacements are provided at no cost for covered defects.
What’s Not Covered:
Damage due to misuse, water, dust, mechanical impacts, or dropping the device.
Normal wear and tear.
Unauthorized repairs or modifications.

We aim to repair the device the same day we receive it. If it cannot be repaired, we will replace it with a new device at no cost. You are responsible for shipping costs to our facility unless the issue is covered by the EU legal guarantee.
3. Returns for Defective Products
If your Sniffer430, Lixener30, or other product is defective due to manufacturing issues:

Return Process: We will provide instructions for returning the product. For EU customers, return shipping costs are covered under the 2-year legal guarantee if the defect is confirmed.
Repair or Replacement: We will assess the product upon receipt. If the defect is covered by the manufacturer warranty (1 year) or EU legal guarantee (2 years for EU customers), we will repair it (typically same-day) or replace it at no cost. If it cannot be repaired or replaced, we will issue a full refund.
Non-Covered Defects: If the defect is due to misuse, water, dust, or mechanical damage, see Section 4.
4. Returns for Damaged Products (Non-Warranty Issues)
If your Sniffer430, Lixener30, or other product is damaged due to misuse, water, dust, mechanical impacts, or other non-warranty issues:

Return Process: Ship the product to the appropriate facility (EU: Lithuania; non-EU: Florida, US, as listed in Section 2). You are responsible for shipping costs.
Assessment and Repair Costs: We will assess the damage and provide an invoice for repair costs. If you approve and pay the invoice, we will repair the device (typically same-day). If the device cannot be repaired or you choose not to pay, we will return the device to you without repair, and you are responsible for return shipping costs.
5. Shipping Costs for Returns
EU Customers:
Under the 2-year legal guarantee, we cover return shipping costs for defective products.
For the 14-day right of withdrawal or non-warranty repairs, you bear the cost of return shipping unless the product was defective or not as described.
Non-EU Customers: You are responsible for shipping costs to return products for warranty claims, non-warranty repairs, or replacements.
Return Shipping to You: For warranty repairs or replacements, we cover the cost of shipping the repaired or replaced product back to you. For non-warranty repairs, you will receive an invoice for return shipping costs, payable before we ship the device back.
6. Refunds
EU Customers: Refunds are available under the 14-day right of withdrawal (Section 1.1) or 2-year legal guarantee (Section 1.2) if a product cannot be repaired or replaced. Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the returned product, using the original payment method.
All Customers: No refunds are offered for used products outside the EU right of withdrawal or warranty/guarantee claims. If a product cannot be repaired or replaced under the manufacturer warranty, we will issue a refund.
7. Product Compliance
Our products (Sniffer430, Lixener30) are manufactured in Lithuania and comply with EU safety standards, including CE marking. For EU customers, we ensure compliance with the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive for recycling. Contact us for recycling instructions in your country.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Return Policy and Warranty at any time. The updated policy will be posted on our website with the revised date. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a website notice.
